Energy from oceans has very good potential but, unfortunately, there is no corporate entity willing to take risks in India to put up a plant based on these resources. As far as the technology is concerned, a lot is available in India waiting to be tapped. Any takers?

To see the huge impact that the proposed tidal power scheme on the river severn would have in respect of boosting Britain's renewable energy use, have a look at http://www.renewables-map.co.uk. Of the 28GW of renewable power that has been built or is being planned, the severn barrage represents 1/3 of it!
Another consideration is that with rising sea levels, the threatend wetlands will be drowned, so they are going to go whatever - lets at least get some use out of the area!
